Well, this stuff sure works. I thought I'd try Tylenol's new sleep aid because my sleep schedule is out of whack these days. Many of us are sleeping late, waking up late, or unable to sleep at all! I'm concerned that due to this crazy schedule, it would be difficult to try and sleep at around 10:00 before the bar exam and ensure a good night's sleep.
So I thought I'd give Tylenol Simply Sleep a try. I took it around 12:30, and fell asleep at 1:00. It was pretty easy to fall asleep. I woke up in a groggy haze twice, and one time I had to use the bathroom. That's pretty typical, though I usually have to go to the bathroom around dawn, not when it's still dark outside. I was like a zombie. And then I proceeded to sleep until 12:00. That's right. 11 hours of sleep and I was still groggy when I woke up!
Luckily, the grogginess subsided and I wasn't sleepy during the day, but STILL. Two innocuous little blue pills (I guess they say the same thing about Viagra!) packed a lot of punch. I'm thinking maybe 1 would work best. Just to take the edge off nerves and help me fall asleep...
So there you go. My experience with Tylenol Simply Sleep. Do I recommend it? Yes, I think it works. I don't know if there's anything out there that doesn't give you that weird groggy feeling upon waking though, unless you take lower dosages. So I would recommend a lower dosage of this stuff if you're sensitive to medications, as I tend to be.

Tylenol PM, and Simply Sleep leave me wayyyy too hungover to take the night before such an important test. I prefer prescription sleep aids...they work fast and do not leave you hungover in the morning.
Lunesta is my friend.
I've taken 1 tylenol pm (not the full dose) and even though I wake up groggy, I actually wake up after 8 hours. Just have to promptly inject caffeine into my body once up and withstand being cranky for an hour or so. I may consider taking one if I'm feeling really anxious, but at 9:30 or 10pm so as to avoid any unwanted groggyness.
You might try melatonin, especially if you are holed up indoors most of the day. It has something to do with the Vitamin D you absorb from sunlight and it's a chemical your body produces which induces sleep. There are pills that dissolve under your tounge.
I'm just trying to use jetlag to my advantage - seeing as my body is kinda 8 hours ahead I just made sure last night to goto bed early and hence get up early and gonna try and just maintain that until after the exam... problem is i KNOW i have to be up late on friday cus of HP7 coming out! lol
My mother, who has extreme insomnia, and takes Ambian (which most times no longer works for her), tried Simply Sleep, and it worked only for the first night. She's been taking it for a week and it seems to be keeping her up even more. She's 90 years old. I guess there's nothing else she can try. She used to use Tylenol pm, which worked once in a while. I told her not to try the Tylenol pm, as the Simply Sleep seems to have the opposite affect on her, or maybe it's just her insomnia doing it's thing.
I recommend taking Melatonin..it's natural. It comes in a bottle w/ an eye dropper & u squeeze that into your mouth or a small cup of water (5 drops). It tastes sweet. It really works great. I don't believe in many things. But, i took it and in about 30-45 mins later, I started getting really sleepy. Then I woke up the next day normal. No grogginess or anything. Melatonin also comes in pill form too. I recommend this to anyone to try first...Before tylenol p.m. etc...i don't take it all the time. But when i need to go to sleep, it's there! Good luck & try it or look it up online :)Your friend, T
Tylenol PM and Simply Sleep don't seem to do a thing for me. Unisom works decently without next day grogginess.
I swear by both Tylenol Simply Sleep and also Tylenol PM. I live in the UK and haven't found anything here in the UK that works anywhere near as well as these both do. They're brilliant. I recently returned from California and brought a heap of them with me! I also took 2 before my flight home and didn’t suffer with jet-lag at all. Also took them on the way out, they’re brilliant. Sometimes I feel very slightly slow the next morning for an hour, but only if I take 2. I mostly just take one and it gets me thru the night perfect. Thanks Tylenol, they’re brilliant.
